Wholeness

This section brings together works that help us turn from a fragmented way of seeing toward the recognition of life’s deeper wholeness, offering guidance, practices, and companions for that shift.

Henri Bortoft
Henri Bortoft (1938–2012) was a physicist and philosopher who became one of the leading interpreters of Goethe’s scientific method. A research assistant of David Bohm, he developed a way of phenomenological seeing that reveals the wholeness of living systems through careful attention to their unfolding appearances.

Culture

Culture s the hidden patterning of our lives, and when seen in its wholeness becomes less a set of fragments or boundaries and more the living fabric of meaning through which connection and belonging are possible.

Edward T. Hall
Edward T. Hall (1914–2009) was an American anthropologist whose pioneering work explored the hidden patterns of culture and communication. He introduced influential ideas such as proxemics (the study of personal space) and high- and low-context cultures, showing how perception and meaning are shaped by unspoken structures.
